Should have gone into work today, but alas - stayed home and read The Girls of Riyadh" - an extremely interesting book.
It gave a look into the lives of four upper class girls in Saudi Arabia - and their search for love in the midst of strict traditions, cultural regulations and religious restrictions. It was interesting to see how certain girls were more "liberal" and questioned the traditions of Muslims, and others were defensive of their way of life.
Reading this book made me realize how similar we all are, and yet how different our lives can be due to certain circumstances - such as the religion we are born into, the country we live in, or how strong an impression a different culture can make on us.
A good, quick read!
Warning: bad picture :/
